Your peak number will probably stay the same, but the area under the curves will change for sure.
What baffle do you have in the Fatcat?

I was thinking about ditching my Sampson duals for a D&D....what did you not like about the sound of the D&D....
I hear them in person on a Triumph Rocket but never on a Harley so I better do some more homework....

i just traded my Rinehart TD's for a thunderheader..... i actually like the thunderheader a lot because it is a lot quieter than the rineharts were.... and retains the nice deep tone i was used to with the rineharts.... something to think about....

It would be better for you to check out the quiet baffle. I've had both baffles on my bike, and the quiet baffle stayed in while the standard went down the road.
The quiet baffle is much deeper and not blatty at all..........it's a great sound. It will still make some noise when you crank the throttle, but for the most part is pretty tame.
For the power loss and area under the curves that you will loose with the True Duals.........go with the quiet baffle.
Steve

Have you heard the sound from riding behind the bike? Sounds much better than when sitting on the bike!!!
I had to get used to mine, but I like the sound now and keep getting reminded by others as to how "deep" the sound is. Can't tell while riding it.
I run the big bore quiet baffle.
Also, don't forget that a cam can cause some difference in how a pipe sounds.

Yup......
There is a huge difference in how it sounds behind the bike as compared to on the bike. My buddy has the Fatcat/quiet baffle as well on his bike and whenever we ride together I just admire his exhaust note........deep rumble.

I went from a set of Pythons to my LowCat with a quiet baffle. The difference in sound on the bike is huge. I'm just now getting used to it. The sound behind the bike is amazing. I'd go as far as to say that it sounds better than any other set of pipes I've ever heard, including the LSR Black Hole.
It's a personal preference thing, so of course YMMV.

I second the sound quality of the quiet baffle.Had the standard and could never get over the tin can sound.Do yourself a favor and purchase the QB and the deep sound will be back.
