Fullsac cores review

I gotta say I'm very happy with my Fullsac re-cores.

The idea of replacing stock muffler guts was new to me until I read about it on another forum. The CVO guys are all over it. Being that I like the look of my stock mufflers it was worth a shot.

Removing the mufflers was a simple process as expected. The pleasant surprise for me was that HD now welds the nut inside the loops that hang the pipes (in the back). I don't know how long they've been doing this but it makes the job just that much easier.

Sent the muffs to Steve @ Fullsac in Havasu. Day after he received them they were done & on their way back to me. Fast service, and Steve was very helpful answering all my questions. The muffs were well protected on return & not a scratch on them.

The sound is just perfect! Not too quiet, not too loud, nice deep low rumble and they crack just right when you want them to. I went with the 2" baffles (straight through). Cruise is nice and quiet.

Steve explained that HD has a special sound coating on the inside of the stock mufflers, which he leaves in tact for the deep sound. He pulls out the flow restricting baffles & inserts his 2" cores. If you didn't know better you'd think they came from the factory. Welds are perfect.

Nice thing is, they look completely stock from the outside. No hassles down the road.

For $199 (includes return shipping) it's hard to beat. That's my experience anyway. Thanks Steve!!

Have to agree. I put his duel conversion on my 06 and tried other slip ons but for all day cruising they were just to loud. I finally found a set of stockers that he recored and they perform and sound great.

Same experience as the previous posters. Great sound, great service, great guy to deal with or just chat it up with.

You may notice I have Rush 2.5" listed in my signature line. During a recent rally in Tamps Neuevo Leon Mexico a local rider, and federal policeman, took a shining to my Fullsac pipes and made me an offer I could not refuse. He took mine and I got the Rush's. I have NO clue where the Rush's came from but they were new and in a box ... but not a Rush box.
