09 Street Glide Aftermarket Parts
I'm so stoked! My '09 SG (Vivid Black) will be at the HD dealer by next Friday.
I want to do some immediate mods, both cosmetic and performance, but am not having much luck finding many options out there yet.
Does anyone know if there are exhaust systems (not just slip-on mufflers) and rear wheels (to accommodate the new cush drive system) being produced yet?
Or have you done any similar mods to your '09 that you'd like to share?
Thanks in advance!

I sent a note to Bub's asking about dual pipe development. Basically responded with "we don't know yet." So Rinehart duals aren't looking good yet.

Yep - I just went with the HD Stage 1, SE slip ons and heavy breather. This should do me fine until the aftermarket catches up. I think it'll also get me a few miles, basically stock, under the warranty until I feel comfortable about the engine and no major recalls.
But I'm not touching nothing else until I can get a good fuel management system.

That Sucks
I guess that's the price we pay for getting the "new" bike. What do you think about just getting the Reinhardt slip-ons and maybe another set of headers like the KlockWorks Double-Back? I think they look really cool and I haven't seen anyone running them yet in my area. There's at least 2 youtube videos with guys running this setup. Sound awesome!

I would think ,you might have to wait at least 6 months for the new exhausts to start showing up??????

I'm look for a LOUD set of slip on's for my 09 SG. People seem split on V&H Monster ovals, and Reinhart's. I know it is a matter of personal taste but would like to hear everyone's opinion. Also was curious about Python slip on's

I put a pair of 1-3/4" Rush Slip on's on my 09 FXD. Dealer said I could go to the 2" without touching any fuel management system but just to be safe I went with the 1-3/4". When I put them on and first started the bike I was dissapointed in the sound, I thought I would have to put them on ebay. But after about 40-50 miles they started to open up and now after a few hundred miles I think they sound great and won't get rid of them. I got the baloney cut style for what it's worth. Also I paid 300.00 for them.
And found out after the fact that they sell them for 240.00 at Battlefield H/D in Gettysburg, PA

Why ?
If I might ask, why do you want to change out the stock head pipes? From what I have been able to acertain, they will most likely make good HP and TQ numbers compared to the old pre 09 design.
As far as "Bang for the buck" performance improvements go, I believe your money could be better spent on other items. I.E. bolt in cam, tuning/fueling device, mufflers, Etc.

I have an 09 street Glide. I put on a Patriot Defender and their Top Fueler injection controller. Both worked out real nice. patriotpipes.com

I listened to the Monster Ovals at Biketoberfest and they are not loud at all. They have nice deep mellow sound so if loud is what you want, they aren't for you.
I was talking to Doc the other day and he hasn't done one yet, but his visual impression is that the stock 2-1-2 should flow pretty good. I am thinking about Monsters and stock head pipes since I am just going to put a Stage I and cam on the SG and would like to hear the stereo as well.
