What is the 3/4 restrictor Fuel moto promotes?

I have true duals I just can't get perfect. All of my problems are with the left pipe sound and backfire. What are the restrictors you mentioned in your thread?? Thanks for any help!

Bought Rush off E-Bay. Adv as 2" but were actually 2.5". LOVED THE SOUND but wife said no F'n way.

Bought the Fulsac TD and 1.5" baffles. SO SO on the sound. Really tinny. Almost like the baffles were vibrating inside the shell.

Dropped the TD, went back to stock exhaust and mufflers but added the XIED. Wife is happy, bike seems happy ..... BUT I MISS THE SOUND (sometimes).

Oh, and even in deep south Texas we have not had an issue with the heat on the thighs after adding the XIED's. Her feet still get cooked but she opted for hot feet she could adjust from time to time over permanent hearing loss.

I may try the 3/4" restrictor in the left pipe that Fuel Moto promotes just for kicks as the Rush's are just standing in the corner now,

Guess old age has finally located us

I am currently running VH True Duals with a set of CVO 110 mufflers. They are very quiet 80db mufflers. I have noticed a slight decline in top end over the VH Ovals, but my butt dyno says the low to mid range is intact. However, my engine picked up around 15 degrees in oil temp and some ping is noticable most anywhere in the rpm range under load on 93 oct. It seems the more restrictive mufflers have actually leaned out the mixture (carb) as the plugs are now snow white and I've lost4-5 mpg. I'll be tweaking on that in the next few days....

R1,
are you using any fuel mgt? SERT, TTS, FuelPac, etc.

I wonder what it would do to to partially plug the crossover? The OL's sporty crossover is T'd right in front of both mufflers so there is no direct path for the exhaust to go through the crossover. I think most of the other HD exhaust is like this, the tour bikes are the only ones with the exhaust(rear cyl) directly going to the crossover.
