Larger holes in Baffles

I have a V&H Big Radius 2-1. I was wondering has anybody drilled the baffle holes larger? What is the effect? Good and/or bad. Thanks alot

Yep, I took the center plate out. If you look in the end of the baffle you'll see a solid plate. That forces all the exhaust threw the baffle out the smaller surrounding holes. I used a hole saw a little smaller than the plate. As far as sound it's a lot louder. Not obxious at idle or cruising. when your on it it really BARKS! Performance wise I'd say I might have lost a little low end on a roll on throttle situation. Wide open i feel a little more top end. it was worth it and my opinion. Oh yeah it gets louder after the packing in the baffle wears out.

Would drilling out the end cap kind of being the same as the Pro-pipe stock baffle versus the Performance baffle. I seem to remember that was kind of the effect...loss of lower end and overall higher top end? Now how about the actual small holes in the Baffle?........would making them larger change anything? And thanks alot for your reply!

didnt try it. I would think the smaller holes getting bigger would make it louder and also the packing in the baffle would probally leave quicker.
