SE Slash cut help

I have a pair of SE 1 piece ( no end caps) slip ons for my 97 Heritage Springer. I've read somewhere about a mod to bend down a small tab inside the baffle to open up the pipes some more. THese are the part number 64900-99. As far as I know these are the original SE pipes and not the SE II's with the removable baffles.
Looking into the end of the pipe I do not see any small tab that can be bent out of the way. The are 2 tubes inside the pipe that have a slight bend to them, but you can see light thru both sides.
Does anyone have any additional info that could help me out to modify these to increase the sound level a bit. They sound decent, but I'd like just a little more volume. The info I had from before said to slightly bend the tab a little at at time as to not go to far and loose back pressure. But I've seached thru this forum and others and can't find the "how to".
