Which Rush Baffles Are quieter than SuperTrapp SE on an 07?

Has anyone had a chance to compare these on an 07.

I am talking with Fuel Moto about a new setup to cool this thing down. I was most interested in the Supertrapp 2:1 but they do not carry them. So can anyone stack rank those different Rush baffles compared to my stock HD and/or the SuperTrapp SE slip ons. I want a little louder than stock but not as loud as the SEs, and of course more free flowing than stock to try and help things cool down.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like you think they are too loud. Are you riding an 07? the 96" seems to be much louder given the same muffler than the 88". Rush has a 1.5" baffle now. You might want to get a set of them to swap out. I think a set is around $65 and swaps out by removing one screw. Might beat buying whole different set of slip ons or going back to stock.

I have both the Rush 1.75 and 1.50 baffles. I thought the 1.75's were pretty loud too so I bought the 1.50's. They seem to be just as loud but I don't think they sound as good as the 1.75's. I am seriously thinking about getting the 2.0 baffles assuming they will be the same loudness as the 1.75's but deeper in tone. The 1.75's do sound really good, they are just pretty loud.

Make sure you add a Power Commander to your set up. Fuelmoto will send you one with the proper map for whatever configuration you have. I got one for my 1.75's and the difference in performance is almost amazing, the best $270 I've spent on my machine. Idle is better, decel popping is gone, acceleration is great.

I went to Rush's site and watched/listened to their sound clips of the different baffles as an 07 street glide is started and ridden away and they all do sound about the same from a loudness standpoint.

I was thinking of getting the same set up for my 07 FLHX but heard that some guys are having issues starting after installing a PCIII (having to try 3 or more times). Are you experiencing this at all?

Mine starts instantly, but it is an 05. I have heard of problems with 07's but I think this has been fixed. Time to call Jamie at Fuelmoto and ask.

I check my mileage every tankful, and I have gone from 41-42 mpg to 38-40 mpg with the Power Commander. Well worth it, it runs so much better. It sounds better too, you can hear the difference in the combustion pulse.

Thanks, I'll do that. btw is your scoot a stock setup though? That's what I'm planning to do first, just add the PCIII to hopefully cool things down.

He'll tell you that the pin-out has changed on the '07 ECM connectors and the PC-III now gets its power from the fuel pump relay instead of the switched +12v. Lucky for them, I guess, huh? In any event, if you forget to crank the starter for an instant fire-up while the fuel pump is still pressurizing the rail it'll only take a couple extra milliseconds before she fires anyway. I don't worry about it either way.

called Jamie today, he said to hit the start button right away (don't have to wait til the light goes out in the speedo on '07's).

Jober: my machine is not a stock set-up, I already had the Screaming Eagle air cleaner and stage 1 ECM reflash, this was done when the bike was brand new and before it was delivered to me. This setup worked OK with the SEII slip-ons, but the Rush has less restriction and I was running lean with some decel popping and an occasional backfire. With the pre-programmed PCIII from Fuelmoto, it ran much better and decel popping was gone.

Interestingly enough, I also got the PCIII map for the 2.0 Rush slip-ons from Fuelmoto, and it is the exact same map as the one for the 1.75. I may put the 2.0 baffles on and give them a try. The 1.75's are plenty loud though.

I bought a complete setup from Fuel Moto, Rush Pipes 2.5 baffle, PCIII and K&N air filter. Fuel Moto mapped the PCIII for the setup. They are incredibly loud and after a 200 mile trip I was packing my ears. The decel popping was also awful! The slip ons started discoloring at the header connection and the end of the baffle. I decided this wasn't cutting it and ordered a set of 1.75 baffles and a new fuel map from Fuel Moto. I took it for a ride before installing the new map and really liked the sound. The decel popping had also disappeared. I've tried to install the new map but I'm having a software issue and need to do a reload. I compared both maps and they are very close in their settings so I don't see a real issue in running with the 2.5 inch map for a while. I picked a bolt up in the rear tire so the bike is down until I get a replacement installed. I haven't logged enough miles to be sure, but the bike seems to be running cooler.

Not a good idea. You are also re-calibrating your speedo while you wait for that light to go out. At some point, you will have a speedo problem.
