cant fix leaky issues
i have a 92 fxrs, i think it has about 30k on it and i changed the lifters and pushrods last winter. I reused the old ones for about a thousand miles then they started to leak a little one by one so i changed them out. Since then I have been having problems with the pushrod tube seals, especially the ones on the front tappet block. I put new ones in and then i got a leak about 5k into the season. Found it was coming from the outside front seal and replaced it again. Then a few hundred miles later i noticed a stream of oil going down the cam cover when i was on the highway. Again traced it back to the same seal. And just this weekend i had the same thing happen, it seems to be coming from the front tappet block again. And it only seems bad when the motor is at high rpms. A tech at a dealer said it might be the oil pump or a clog in the return hole in the cam chest. What do you think?
