Pinion shaft inner race removal and installation

Hi, do any of you techies here have an idea how I can pull out the main bearing inner race off the pinion shaft on a 96 evo? There is no space where to insert a puller between the race and the fly wheel.... Staring at the thing isn't getting me anywhere :/

Also, how far in should the new race go? Should it sit flat with the flywheel or should there be any clearance?

Cheers guys

I have a '94 evo...The manual shows how to do it,,,you will need HD-97292-61 puller, HD-95652-43A shaft protector, and CJ950 bearing separator.

You really ought to get and look in the manual for removal and installation of the bearings and races on the flywheels. There are very specific instructions on how to do the procedures and location for the pinion shaft inner race.
