anyone ever had one?i am not getting any spark to the plugs.have power to coil.bike cranked the last time and ran fine.now will not fire.tired of motorcycle pms(parked motorcycle syndrom)

If there's power to the coil and no spark the coil is bad.

Try checking the voltage output on the ignition. I am talking about the wire that goes to the coil/s.

Normally that should be held up at +12volts and then to fire the coil the ignition pulls it to earth really quickly and then raises it back to +12volts.

If its got voltage then I would be looking at the coil. If it has no voltage then I would be looking at the ignition. Are you sure that the ignition has its +12volt power feed okay?

Are you running original ignition or has it been converted to points?? Pickup on the original could be bad. In the wind.

its a good ignition, have had mine in for over 3 years with my build and not one problem!

Halloo. Angel has a Dyna 2000i in her. The unit took a crap after about a month's riding this past fall. If the unit is the "nose-cone" type then check to see that the red LED indicator is flashing while cranking over. Dyna sent me a new unit within five business days. Still thinking of going back to points...never had points leave me stranded.

When I bought my dyna2ki kit the coil went bad after a bit, I linped home on one cyclinder and temporarily replaced coil with my old stock coil and switched to dual fire. I bought a single fire crane coil and all has been well. I carry the stock coil in my tool pouch.
