Older Fuel injection carb conversion

I have a guy i work with is having problems with his fuel injection on a 1997 classic, how hard is it to make that bike a carbed bike? anyone here done it? thanks chad.

I haven't gone that way, but I've read on the boards of others doing it. If I recall, a new gas tank is usually recommended. Either that, or you need to figger out how to remove the fuel pump and add a petcock to it. I suppose you could use one of those EFI to carb pressure regulators, but they are kinda big (designed for automotive use), and then you'd have to figger out how to turn the pump on. After that, a carb intake manifold, carb, air cleaner and that should probably be about it.

Think you have to cut off part of the inside of the tank on earlier models.
