1988 Electra Glide Classic

I tried posting this in the transmission section and haven't got much response, so I thought I would try here if it's all right. A friend of mine is bringing his '88 E.G.Classic over next weekend and we're going to try and change the drive belt. I changed mine a couple of years ago on my '95 Ultra and never had to remove the swingarm completely, just took out the rubber on the sides and I think maybe moved the pivot shaft towards the right side some. I was able to slide the belt in between the frame and swingarm. It's a little foggy now, I don't remember stuff very long. Any way will I be able to do this on the '88 also, I have a clymer book and it shows that the swingarm is changed after '89. Thanks, Len
