85 FLHTC Clutch Specs needed

Looking for the torque specs for the clutch on a 85 FLHTC. I had a book but the guy I loaned it to passed away & his wife has no idea where it is. I need all the bolt torque specs that you can give me.
Thanks
Rob

Assuming that you have the 5 speed clutch, the spring plate adjustment is .010 max concave or convex. The four adjuster plate bolts are set to 75-95 inch pounds or 6.5-8 foot pounds. The clutch hub nut is 50 FT.LBS.

Good luck

All in Ft. Lbs:

Clutch releas arm nut: 8-10
starter drive to primary chaincase bolts/studs: 10-12
Compensating sprocket nut: 80-100
Primary chaincase to engine bolts: 16-18
Transmission sprocket nut: 80-90
Clutch release rod adjusting locknut: 34-42
clutch hub nut: 50-60

Clutch lever free play: 1/16"

You really, really need the instructions on the diaphram spring adjustment. <0.010", check with feeler guage between spring and straight edge across face of diaphram spring.

I think you need to just suck it up and buy another book.

Thanks

I have ordered another book but thanks to all the local yuppies my bike is to old to keep parts or let alone a repair manual in stock for it. Thanks for your help I can get it started to put back tonight. I did read someplace where a guy was putting in a extra steel plate due to the stack hieght being wrong & causing the pull to be tough? I assume that is where the concave/convex measurement comes in? If the stack height is correct won't the measurement on that be correct?

You use use different holes for the adjustment. I added an extra plate in mine (same clutch) on advice of the dealership mechanics. The pull is not excessive. Our style has a stiffer pull than the newer ones and there's not much to do about that. I just put a new cable on which helped a lot. My last 2 cables have been fried down by the back of the rear jug where the cable rubs.

Did the yuppies make your bike old?

Dealerships don`t make a living off guys who buy a new bike every 25 years...

I listened to the yuppie crap 21 years ago when I got my evo, it gets old hearing it.
