Andrews EV-23 Cam ?

I just ordered a EV-23 cam for my 93 FXR with 8,500 miles.
Does anyone have an opinion on the EV23 vs EV13 or EV27?
I have bags, windshield and ride under 70 mph, will the mileage
be better or worse than a stock cam?
Does the Andrews have a keway under the cam gear like a
Crane, so you can use the stepped pin with the two pins clamped
around the gear to align your orignal cam gear properly when
pressing it on the new cam? should the gear be heated before
pressing it on the new cam?
Thanks

ive got a group of buddies that all have ev23 cams in their evos, including me. better fuel economy. nice chop or lope to it. improved power. good bottom and mid and keeps up pulling. the 27 is a little hotter but ive been real satisfied with the ev23 for over 100,000 miles. if i had to put in another cam, it would be the same.

Thanks Head
I got the cam and it does have a .250 wide keyway 180 degrees from the pinion tooth
"dot" so it should be easy to align with the original gear.

I have a ev-23 in my 86fxr and am happy with .. Head covered it real well . Just gives a stronger bottom and midrange and still great milage at least for me. I ride in the nc mountains. You might want to upgrade the ignition??

EV cams

'92 fxr, had two SE grinds in the past, now an EV27. Am happy with it, and would use it again.

I put the EV 23 in my 87 two years ago. along with new SE 10:1 pistons
new lifters and stock push rods, valve job and CV off of a 2005.
Runs great now.
