Any NEW information on Merch engines

I've owner my Merch 120 ci stage two engine since 2001, I know they went under for a while but were suppose to have resurfaced building engines in the USA, Colorado. Their website is a bit iffy for response and information. Their product was beyond excellent dust anything on the road and dependable.
I'd like any articles or information that is 12 to 24 months.
thanks

Friday1 wants to know Dino or Syn?
I used to crewchief a Pro Stock AHDRA bike and on the AHDRA website, there was a ton of info by one of the members who was a Merch dealer. Go to www.ahdra.com and in the forum titled shop talk you can do a search for Merch and all the info should turn up. Hope this helps, Friday

Motor in my 94 FLH

The Merch was in my softail when it was new and then I put it in my 94 FLH and it really shines in there. The engine transformed the bike into what a cruiser should run like, big power and torque. I have over 40 thousand trouble free miles on the motor, just change the oil and it keeps going and going. I just finished a run throughout New England States and had a blast up and down those mountains and curves.
Two up or solo the engine always performs the same. I've ridden with people that have had S&S 113, and 124 that had a hard time to keep up in the mountains and curves. they are always amazed at the torque and power. The reliablity is way beyond what ever stroker and big block I've ever had and cannot understand why the company went under or what ever happened to them.

Wink Merch DUX

I have a Merch in one of my scoots and it is a superb pump.
They are now making motors in excess of 140 to 200 inches that will fit stock frames.
Merch probably has the most reliable big block motors around.
They use O rings, not gaskets for the critical mating pieces.
This is expensive to make but, works better than any gasket.
To compete in volume, they needed to come down in price as 11k for a motor is way too expensive.
Today, you can buy a 127 inch engine for 3600.00 bucks.
It's not O ringed but, how many really care?
If you want to tear up tires and snap belts?
The Merch DUX series will take care of ya.

Merch Motors

I bought a 120 stage 1 this spring. It will be for another build, but I had to try it out so I swaped out my HD motor. Very nice.

Their forum says they are having a sale on all in stock motors as of October 1st, prices are listed. Their goal is to be up and running the first part of November.

Bump.

I just bought a used 01 FLHT that came with a brand new Merch 125. If nobody knows if these guys are even in business anymore, where did the motor come from? Are they up and running yet? Somebody said mid november, but their website has shut down and I can't find anybody that seems to have reliable and recent information

I just had my 100inch Fatso redone this spring and sent the rods to Gerry for rebuilding. They were setting up shop in Colorado at that time. The email address I was using for them was, merchmotorsusa@aim.com

Hope that helps, as I see their web site is no more as well....
