Why is there oil coming out of the plug where the voltage regulator plugs into the crank case on my 99 FXST EVO?????? And how do I fix it?

A common problem. There is a service bulletin from Hd recommending repositioning the connector so it is above the regulator. Search this site and you will find the problem covered very well.

edit: i went ahead and serched for the bulletin:

plus there are other posts discussing cleaning the grommet and using various sealers. In my case, just getting rid of the valvolene synthetic and going back to hd primary oil stopped the leaking.
