Hello All
I have about 1300 miles on the Ultima 127 .
Rear cylinder base gasget seaping oil at back left side.
Heard the front cylinder chirping by the intake on rear of front cylinder.
We took it in and tore it down today.
Sure enough blown head gasget on front cylinder.
Ok I have a call into Matt at Midwest to see if they can help.
We tore it down today and found marks by liner looks like bad machine work to me. Right where the head gasget blew.
I will keep all posted on how well they stand behind their ULTIMA 127 motors.
This is installed in a 1997 Road King.
Wow right before the Christmas toy bowl.
Hope they make it right for us.

from what ive read and heard (ultima is located here in st.louis) they are very good about warranty issues, seems the company is still going thru some growing pains tho. chad.

Dosnt look good so far . Didnt call back yesterday. Tried early today got an answer machine said they will call back between 1:00 and 3:00pm we shall see. Hope they do me right, nice engine need the power here in Colorado, My buddies at the railroad are eager to see how they help us out too. Might be a big seller for them if they stand behind their product.

Ok On the right track.
Matt called today no problem.. Will send out new cylinder and new rings today!!
He wanted us to be happy with their product.

Glad you got good help.

I've talked with Matt also. He is good.
Sometimes takes a couple of days for him to respond by phone.

Do you have a number for him. My 127 front piston came apart at 1200 miles. Both pistons in wrong hole, (labled frotn and rear). Matt is sending parts but knowing they assembled it wrong is costing me alot of money and just had back fusion 6 months ago a bit of pain!!!!! To me sending parts on a known problem is not a good fix and crappy relations. Thanks for the name

Damn....The so called "bulletproof"

Ultima motors are showing some bullet holes-At least it sounds like their customer service is good and thet make it right, after the fact. They should be paying for your shipping as well...

You would think they would fix their own problem themselves. Cheap to send parts when it's your labor

Just a little updade.
12/24/09
No parts yet . I know its Xmas time over worked mail workers.
I have the shop tied up now waiting for the parts.I guess I can wait till next week then call Matt, or Larry Miller. Not in a hurry just have a stall tied up in friends shop .
Time for another poastal raise for better service I guess.

are you going to be using another set of mahle pistons?? not a real big fan of those.

Well Matt said they would send rings,and gasgets and a new front cylinder. Pistons looked ok as do the cylinder walls. Bad machine work on top of cylinder casting not down in the cylinder liner itself.
Are they having problems with the pistons too?
Boy I dont think I like coustomer doing the RD for some one. I want to RIDE...lol
