Hillside or Rosa's?
Going to get my heads done and go thru my top end this winter.
Looking for the best streetable combo I can get reliably on 90 octane.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with Hillside so far.
Talked to them today and they said their Stage 2 head work and Woods W-6 cam should get me close to 90 RWHP.
The price seemed great too.
Just thought of Rosa's too though I haven't talked to them.
What's everyone think of these guys?

Hillside and Rosa's would both be excellent choices. Don't forget about your own local indi shop. Support your local indi or they aren't going to be there.

I called the best local shop we have already and they even told me to send it down to the states.
They are a great shop, but just don't do that much V-Twin work.

Sorry, I don't think it would be fair to post that info up on the forum, but if you just give them a call Scott is very up front with their pricing.
I will say that their Stage 2 Evo head work with porting, guides, and new oversized valves is priced lower than a new set of performance heads from the usual manufacturers.
And the dyno #'s are IMPRESSIVE.

I have heard nothing bad about either shop, But i will say im going to have scott at hillside do a set this winter for me, simply because he is constantly on here and has no issues with helping people out that arent even spedning money with him, and that goes a long way in my book.

Agreed,
Spoke to Scott on the phone at legnth..good guy, and he'll have my heads shipped to him this winter as well for a little work we
discussed.
It's nice calling a place of business, and ask to speak to the guy who signs the paychecks around there, and the reply is...."Speaking".....
That says a lot about a business, in my opinion.

There is an "A" list of shops in my mind and both Rosas and Hillside are on it. I don't think you can go wrong with either. The've both been in the business for decades and enjoy good reputations built over all the years satisfying customers.
That said, spoke with Bob Wood on Friday mostly re cams and carbs. On the subject of heads, Bob recommended Hillside. Said he's running Hillside heads on his personal bike.

Wile I can't speak for Rosa's I can tell you that I have a Hillside motor and I have dyno sheets showing 90hp with 90ft#'s of torque at the rear wheel...yipee-ki-yea . Scott and Craig are great guy's and there down to earth. My first trip there I was given a tour of the shop to include a trip to there frige. How any other shop owners will do this? You have some good choices and I think both are top shelf .
