66 Tooth Ring

99 Evo.has Anyone Ever Changed From A 10t/102 Tooth Jackshaft And Ring Gear To A 9/66 Tooth,if So How Did It Work Out. This Is On A Stock Bike,i'm Just Looking For It To Start Better.

Did the swap just for the much bigger gear teeth,good idea for big inch machines.Did not notice any starting difference.

I have done some engine mods to my evo such as higher compression, head work, etc. I kept breaking teeth on the 102 and the 84 or 88. So I switched to the 66 and loved it. Of course, I have gone through a few starters as well on the previous setups because of the back pressure. But I now have a All Balls 1.4Kwh with the 66 tooth and have never missed a start. I wanted to make sure it was the toughest setup because I was tired of buying parts and the starter guys suggested this combination.
