EVO rebuild

I have 122k on my 98 Evo and since I just love the way it has performed I am going to rebuild it...so far I have new jugs, pistons , rings, oil pump upgrade...the heads are SE 10.5 which I will have worked. The bottom end is pretty simple or not? Why I'm buying the parts I would appreciate any and all suggestions. Doc

Cranks are easy as long as you are tooled up to do the job. Trueing stand, torque wrench, torque mutiplier, balance tooling, flywheel fixtures, precision surface plate(HAS to be level) and either a drill press or milling machine.

cheaper to take the crank/rods and bearings into your local indy or HD shop and let them do it for you. Saves on the headaches later on if something ain't right.

Lol... I'm thinking anyone who has all of that wouldn't be asking how hard they are to do. But that might be just me. As for doing the bottom end work - its easier/ safer sending it to a shop setup with the equipment than hope it was done right at home.

I agree,I have been doing my own motors for years and just can't justify setting up to do cranks.Everything else is quite easy, don't assume anything ask the right questions you will be glad you did.Good Luck
