right way to break in new top end

Finally after 5 weeks get my scooter back tues.Man I have heard break in is critical,but nobody seems to say specifically what that is.Just f.y.i. 93`e-glide top-end valves cam whole nine yards.I look forward to the suggestions

well - with this warm weather we have now in Texas I'm not sure. I broke in my motor last time in the winter. So I rode it hard and just kept an eye on the oil temp. It ran great.

As for now - I think I would keep an eye on the trips and try to keep it from getting over 200 degrees max until you have over 500 miles on it. I'd do the first 500 in trips no longer than 50 miles apiece; letting it cool to the touch after each ride. But thats just me...

Good advice,you should never hurt it that way.Try to avoid traffic jams,long periods of idling is not good.

man you aint lyin about the heat.sounds good i will do 50 miles after work in the evening,should be good to go after 1500 miles or sooner
