Baisley Oil Pump Gears

Does anybody know anything about the Baisley oil pump gear set that spins the pump faster to increase oil flow? Are there any adversities as with the after market pressure springs?

http://baisley.com/oil_pump_gears_product.htm

Thanks in advance for all your input.

Good product.

used the 2-1 ratio gears in panhead, they would fill the top of the motor quicker than it could drain, had to rework the drains. bigger fittings and hose on the external lines. that was with a modded S&S pump. dont know about evo.

Thanks for the replies guys. Its good to know the product works as advertised. However, filling the top end with oil will be a concern, may not want to go there.

I'm putting an EV27 in and I just figured to make an upgrade while I was in there, just want to make sure everything stays wet on the bottom end while idling in 100* temps.

One more question. What is the pressure bleed off system Baisley notes on their page. They are real proud of that option.

Claydbal, how did you come to realize the top end was filling up with oil? Leaks, oil tank emptying? Do you think this was due mainly to the worked S&S pump and would not have happend if the pump was a HD stocker or unworked S&S.

Thanks again...

we had a plexi cover on the pan tops, getting video for dan to show the rockers oiling. he had built corrected geometry rockers for that motor and we changed the oil spray hole in the roller tips. so we were watching the rockers oiling and saw the amount of oil.

scott at hillside said above they work great on evo, so no reason to doubt! he has built mny, many hi-po evo motors.

I doubt you'd have a problem on an Evo. I had one with first an S&S oil pump which bit the dust, then a TP Engineering pump, and I had no problems with either one filling the top end with oil. I imagine either one pumps as much, if not more, oil as a stock pump with the Baisley gears.
