Engine Oil Differences?
Whats the difference between motor oils, ie. Mobil 1 for Motorcycles and regular Mobil 1, both are synthetic, are they interchangeable?
Thanks in advance

There is a difference, probably something with the detergents. Hopefully, one of the oil guru's like George will log in and give you the real facts.

Some guy did a study and called it Oil and the Modern Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. It's a 32-page Acrobat document. Should give you some good, oily reading.

Search again! Many references! Mad City has a good reference listed for generalization.

Everyone can save themselves some grief if they use WD-40.
Sure it will take a few cans to fill-up all three holes, but hey this stuff is good for everything.
Your motor will never seize up & it will repel any water that gets inside the motor.

All Natural no sythetics...
I use all natural Tree Rat Tail Oil in all three holes . Sure, it's a little labor intensive catchin' the little critters and "processing" ( ) them..but my mileage has gone up and the gear noise has gone down...
