Spectro Platinum 6 Speed
Well, I found some Spectro Platinum 6 Speed at a dealer near my home, so I sprung the $20 and bought a quart. Put it in, rode about an hour, and I gotta say, this stuff is slick as butter on a hot knife! I was skeptical, and really wasn't sure if it was worth the money, but Mobil One 75w 140 is $18, so what's two more bucks. I'm sold. I've found my new tranny oil. Mechanic at the dealer says he runs NOTHING else in his bike, and only has to change it every 20,000 miles. He says it looks new when he drains it after the 20,000 miles!

I've never used Spectra but have never heard anything bad either, some of my buddy's used it back in my motocross days and they swore by it too. What year is your bike ??

If you told me 10 years ago that a quart of tranny fluid was going to soon cost us $20.00 I would've said you were crazy!!!

I am sure you would have had the same thoughts about gas back then also. Anyone charging $20.00 a quart for gearlube or oil is making over 50% profit margin in most cases.

I use Spectro in the tranny also. Great product but difficult to find depending on where you live.

This is one of the few third party products my local HD dealer sells. It quieted down my whinny six-speed. If you're having a hard time finding it, he told me there is a Redline product that works equally well.

I've been running the Spectro 6-speed oil in my '07 Ultra tranny since '07.
Very happy!
I also run their Spectro products in all three holes.
Very happy.
Spectro is the official oil for BMW. Just check out the back of the bottle.
I think Baker gives a qt. of Spectro with his transmissions.

I have used Spectro in all 3 on my HD's for some time.
HD dealer sells it mainly because they are a BMW dealer also.
It is s fine product. I am sure there are others that are just as good but Spectro is an Honest company and a US made product

J&P is selling their branded synthetic engine oil and their branded tranny oil at a good price.
Both made/bottled by Spectro.
Handy for me as I don't have to hunt for a shop with Spectro.
I've been running Spectro for years.

Spectro
I don't have anything to compare it to other than the Syn3 that had been in my '10 Limited, but the Spectro made a major difference in the shifting quality of my bike. I would call it good stuff.

Just tried the Spectro oil in my 6spd in my new bagger when I did my 1000 mile service, I've noticed a little smoother shift and noticably quieter operation..I used to run the Amsoil in my previous bikes and feel that the Spectro beats the Amsoil hands down.. I still run the Amsoil 20w50 in the primary and for engine oil tho..no problems so don't see a reason to screw with success..
