Any suggestions??

Ok..my 08 fatbob came with dyno. Changed to the Harley blend with about 6000 miles on it before a 3000 mile trip to Colorado. I don't know that much about oil but, I wasn't really impressed with it! Now that Im back, I want to change it again. But.... I want to try something else.........Any suggestions??

Thanks,

Henry

Try searching the 47 days, 22 hours, 17 minutes and 9 seconds worth of threads on oil if you really want to know. You will know all you could ever want to know about oil when you finish. You really should search and read the other threads before posting the same old question in a new thread. Not flaming here, but come on.

Dino will protect well and be quieter, Syn will protect well, last longer, cost more. Any oil will work and work well as long as it's changed when it's supposed to be. I ran Mobil 1 V-Twin in my last bike but it was noisey. I plan on running a blend in my new bike, just not sure which blend...and I'm afraid to ask

Not a fan of Mobil 1 V-Twin. $3.00 more a qt for basically the same thing. I just can't do it. I picked them up a couple days ago when I was at the auto parts store and ended up putting them back and getting the 15w50 as usual.
I started a thread about it.

I too hate reading mountains of back and forth...............
The whole purpose of a forum is for people to share THEIR OPINIONS. Take what you like, leave what does not float your boat.
MY OPINION:
I like Synthetic for it's heat properties. I am not concerned with the noise others are complaining about with Synthetic, noise doesn't mean wear, if it did we wouldn't change the pipes.
Therefore I use the following:
Amsoil 20/50 V Twin in the motor.
Amsoil 75/110 Severe Gear Synthetic in the trans.
Amsoil Synthetic ATF in the primary.
I do this for 2 reasons, I am confident in the product and George Douglas delivers the product to my door step via UPS. I always have enough on hand to do a complete fluid change.
Most importantly, put something in the bike you like after your research, don't sweat the small stuff, and RIDE THE HELL of IT.............that is what is was built to do.............HONEST.
