Softail oil cooler

Hello,
Could I get some input on installing a softail oil cooler on a Road Glide, just cant seem to agree with putting the oil coller down in harms way. Yes it would not cool quite as good, but, would be better than not at all.Thanks.

You dont say where you are thinking about putting it. I have mine mounted low on the frame. Been there for over 5 years without a single problem.

The softail one mounts between the down tubes, I was cocerned about rocks and debris hitting the cooler.

I wouldnt worry about that. I have never heard of anybody having any damage to their cooler from rocks or debris. If you decide to mount it somewhere else just remember you need air flow for the cooler to work right. I also use a fan kit on mine that way I dont overheat sitting in traffic.
