Well hhuummmm again.
Mobil 1 certainly is an good 4-stroke engine-oil.
But...
The Mobil-forum always allows you to use it anywhere, ( that's commercial) we know that there are better solutions for specific applications, such as the primary.
Reading that Mobil-forum you will learn they allow using 5w40 Diesel-oil in a Vespa... without asking if that Vespa is a mix 2-stroke, or oil-injection 2-stroke or a recent 4-stroke. Believe me, that Mobil-answering person just tells anything in favor of Mobil without fully understanding the special needs.

 

Used 15-50 in all my road racing bikes for years. Never had clutch issues with it. I have it in my Lowrider now but I run ATF in the primary.

 

I didn't run it in the primary, Only the crankcase.

A Bagger makes a hell a lot of difference from the Softail, much better on the passenger, they tend to ride with you more.

 

That's a fact. On our last trip I asked her if she wanted a break and she asked how many miles had we gone. 150+.... we used to stop every 50-60. Both of us couldn't believe it had been that many miles.
I like that bike more every time I ride it and 43-45 mpg isn't bad either on a 6 gallon tank.

 

When I'm by myself I can run the tank out before I stop. Looks like your on the right track for the services.

So don't use 15w-50 in the primary. I don't anyway.
