Ok Ok
I know there are a 1000 posts on this, so you can save me some reading.
What is the preferred oil for a 99 Evo.
So we're talking Oil not synthetic and specifically for an Evo
Looking at one of the polls, seems like Amsoil, although I'm not sure if the poll specified Evo vs TC or if included synthetic.

Ifyou change it often enough, olive oil will do.

No Amsoil mentioned ?
According to the poll it got 1st place ??
As far as using just any oil goes, not sure about that, the technology of everything has changed so much that sometimes things have to be of a certain grade/type etc....

Let's see....oils not to use.
peanut oil
vegie oil
hydraulic oil
thread cutting oil
whale oil
kerosene (yes...it's still oil)
diesel fuel (and it's home heating oil brother)
waste oil
crude oil
mineral oil
I'm sure I missed some so feel free to add them to the list.
You said "So we're talking Oil not synthetic and specifically for an Evo"
Then you said "No Amsoil mentioned ? According to the poll it got 1st place ??"
You're statements are starting to make me think you're a specific politician who lives in a big white house. Amsoil is Synthetic but since you said "not synthetic", nobody mentioned it....then you ask why Amsoil wasn't mentioned?
I can tell this oil thread is going to be a good one....I'm going to get a beer. Anyone else want one?

Remember the title of this thread "OK OK"
I knew I would get a rash of it here......
As far as the Amsoil goes the explaination is that I never ran across
it locally, so I didn't know it was synthetic .....

Gus what do you mean by preferred oil? Do you mean what is preferred by HD. The Preferred oil by Mobil for example would be Mobil so if you follow the money you will get many preferred oils.
