I'm adjusting the clutch, so I drained the fluid, what would be the best, HD is too dang expensive.

Thanks,

A lot of the guys around here like automatic transmission fluid. I use it myself. But my brother uses 10-40 motor oil. Havoline, I think. Has for a long time. Works great...no slipping. Think I'm gonna give it a try next time. I have had trouble with Mobil 1 V-Twin 20-50 synthetic oil. Slipped terrible.

I run ATF too in my FXD but don't use it in your Sporty! Run a good quality 20-50W oil designed for gears and a wet clutch since they will share the oil, I use Mobil 1 V-Twin in the wifes 1200L, no slippage problems at all.

Sorry man...didn't realize it's a Sporty. Gulfstream is right...no ATF. Most of the MC oils will work well.
