Yer in luck man! Amsoil laasts forever and you don't have to change it for the rest of yer life! Good thing you got that expensive stuff before yer last $200 weeks pay.

So you get layed off, say money will be tight, and then admit you're only going to run the Amsoil to a fraction of it's life?
Ok.

If you really lost your job, there is nothing funny about that.

No funnin around on this stuff. I have been in the concrete ind. for 15 years and this is the worst i have seen yet. The company i worked for layed off 170 people today and will probably another 50 to 75 by the mid of next week. I got the papers to file for unemployment from the comp, but lost all insurance and every thing today as well. I aint no spring chicken, so that just adds more walls to me finding another job. I know i will make it ok but just have to make a few cut backs here at the house and no more blow and go with money. At least I will be able to keep my scoot, its got a low payment.

You can call me what you want but i just will not go past 3k on an oil change so there is no need in any more remarks about it, no matter what everybody claims this stuff "can do". When i baught this oil and filter,on stong advice from this forum, I did not see this layoff coming and its that simple so enough said on that.

There is no reason why you cant change it at 5K unless the bike is sitting for a long time.
BTW,sorry to hear about your job.

I thank everybody for the kind words. My wife is the one that is the most worried right now, but i am a man of many trades so it will all come out in the wash. As for as going 5k on oil in an air cooled bike, I am just not that brave. I guess i am too old fashioned and hard headed to change my ways. I have let my wifes car go that long a couple of times but its not running near as hot as the scoot. Thanks again to everybody here.
