Got my fluids sorted out now...

Running Torco V-Series 20/50 in the motor now and during the next change I will go to Torco V-Series SAE50 as the summer temps should be higher. In the fall I'll switch back to Torco 20/50.

The trans now has Red Line Heavy Shockproof Gear Oil, and I'm running B&M Trick Shift ATF Fluid in the primary. Clutch loves the Trick Shift and the bonus is that each fluid has a unique color for each hole in case it ever leaks.

Standard oil color in the engine, red in the transmission, and the Trick Shift in the primary is blue. It's all working great and the temps with the Torco are quite consistent at 215-220 at operating temp.

Good man..Same here on the engine oil and trans fluid.Even stock bikes can benefit from this. I use Redline type F racing in the primary running a little low(14oz's)...Amazing the difference when the proper fluids are in a bike, nut just a 1 size fits all like the MOCO.

I've read many of the posts regarding Torco oil and the benefits of the MPZ within their additive package. I've also read where Reggie of R&R did some testing where he said he would use a synthetic if there was a straight weight synthetic available. So I'm still a little puzzled on why Torco - is it because of the MPZ additive? Is it the combination of a straight 50W or 60W oil w/MPZ? Torco makes a synthetic 20W-50 4-stroke oil w/MPZ, why not use that oil in a v-twin?

check your chain tension..seen 'em guitar string tight on the auto tensioner bikes.....

Atf works great!!! might be a little louder though as its super thin.

Will do..... when I change the clutch and gearing. spending all my time setting up the new dyno latley! and the bike mods are on hold.
I have always felt like the primary chain felt like it just wasent tight enough with the auto tensioner. But who knows I have never had the primary cover off yet 35,000 miles. It could be tight and the comp sprocket is making it feel sloppy.
I got a new chain with the 49 tooth gear so if the original is streched then maybe I will feel the diff.
seriously with the atf it sounds like a roots blower LOL!
Never sounded that way with formula, syn 3 ,or Mobil 1
just me... i know lots of you guys like the atf that's why i tried it

I live up in North Idaho, and just changed all fluids. My indy used Torco syn 25/60 in the motor and Torco 75w/90 syn blend in the trans and Torco XL trans syn blend in the primary, and everything seems to be super smooth and quiet. Not too sure if its the cooler temps that he suggested the 25/60. any thoughts?

I'm running Torco V-Series as per the advice given to me by Reg Senior. He suggests that particular oil in all of his motors due to aeration of other brands. Tranny loves the Redline and is smooth, and the primary if fine with the Trick Shift. Some ask why they should or shouldn't run a Syn blend in the primary, and the reason is that Performance Clutches do not play well with synthetic. Many of the clutch plates are kevlar and the like and anything other than ATF or petroleum based products will void any warranty and cause issues due to the friction agents they put in them.

FGC, I use the same combo only 60 wt. Torco in the motor. The trick shift was recommended by Energy One when I installed their clutch pack with a VPC 83T in my 117. No slipping.

The Trick Shift works real well don't it Dave? Hammered it last night off a light just as the clutch was coming on and it stuck like glue while rolling into it. No slippage at all and great traction from the 180 tire at temp. Loving this Evo clutch setup too!

No problem hooking up. Lifts the front wheel like a two stroke dirt bike. On second thought like a 800 lb. four stroke!!!
