M1 20/50 V-Twin supersyn in the crankcase
M1 75/90 syn gear oil in tranny
HD Primary/Tranny oil in the Primary
Works for me. When I changed the crankcase oil just yesterday there was ZERO wear metal or anything else on the drain/magnetic plug.
There are many personal opinions about oil and MOST of them are good and your bike will do great using a wide variety of lubricants. It comes down to what YOU want to use. My bike is a 1995 Wideglide and this EVO motor runs like a brand new one and I think the Mobil 1, especially in the crankcase, has something to do with that.

I highly reccomend a full synthetic especially up north and especially in a air cooled motor,I worked for mobil oil in the 80`s and they and amsoil had a joint lawsuit over other oil claims of synthetic oil they lost the suit but at that time they were the only true syn oils stick with them they are well worth the extra cost..

I find it much earier to call George and have it delivered to my door. It's a better product, and cheaper if ordered through George, a site sponser.

dang dude, lots are using it, just look thru the posts.
At the top of this forum look at the sticky topics, and drill into the one labeled New Oil Poll. That'll tell you that ~30% of respondants are using AMSOIL and ~25% are using Mobil 1 (as am I).
Scan thru the replies, then hit the Search link and use AMSOIL (or Mobil 1 or SYN3 or synthetic) as the keyword. You'll see tpoics like:
- what's your oil of choice?
- Mobil 1 V Twin
- More Amsoil....
...and a bunch more. Anything you want to know is probably out there waiting on a search!
geez, two whole days and I'm the first to flame the newbie for not searching, the rest of you OCD types are slacking off!

Use the search function. You will have enough reading for weeks.

Your motor will NEVER know the difference between AMSOIL and M1...ever. Both OUTSTANDING oils...full synthetic.

Maybe for years....
I use Amsoil 20W-50 in my motor, 75W-90 in the tranny and Amsoil ATF "Super Shifter" in the primary. Same for all 4 of my bikes. AND we highly recommend that set up for all our customers.
George, oh-h-h-h-h George, where are you. Got somebody knocking at your door..!!!!!
