Oil, oil, on the floor-must I spill a little more?

Well, you would have been proud of me today-almost. For the umteenth time I changed my bike oil and nary spilt a drop. First time......Amazing, until I kicked out the jack and it rolled right into the oil container, and, you guessed it, spilt dirty oil on the floor. I swear the jack rolled in a controlled manner without skipping a beat on some kind of power of its own.

My oil changes are jinxed. I will never change oil in a vehicle without spilling it somewhere. Anymore, I like to think of it as a skill.

So, go ahead, spill that oil. I do.

My buddy didn't realize he forgot to put the drain plug back in his car until he was three quarts in. Nice new coating of oil for his driveway.

Last year my son-in-law was in my driveway adding M1 syn to his truck. I was just pulling his chain when I asked him if he installed the plug...and he responded...."Oh Sh*t!!". I told him to try not to do that on the C-130 gunship engines he works on.....the pilots would not appreciate it.

About the only oil I spill when I change the oils in my bike is the brand new bottle I knock over after I wet the seal on the filter...and don't screw the top back on. Mistake....

I've also given up. Just when you think you've got it under control, something will make a mess. The plastic sheet goes on the floor now before the drain plugs come out.

pesticide/herbicide

seems to me that when i spill a little oil, thats one less bottle of round-up or ant poison i have to buy. Just kidding, for the most part

My Dad used to work on drilling rigs. He said they told a worm hand to go change the oil in the tool pusher's car. The guy did but the car locked up on the way back to town. Turns out, he drained the transmission then filled the crankcase with more oil.
