Could be that you're not able to pick multiple oils. It seems many are using 2-3 different oils in the engine, primary & trans.

Just a thought.

All three are syn, but I use syn oil in everything, including my yard equipment.
Ditto on everything, including the lawn mower.

My 1987 FLST

Your oppinion please: I had the engine overhauled bottom to top and have been running Harley oil since for breakin. I now have almost 5k on it and I'm taking it in for all 3 oils to be changed at the Harley dealer that did the work. What I'd like to hear is your oppinion on what oils you recommend to be put in each compartment? Being that the engine is new yet old. It's .03 over and running great. Thanx guys

I second that! George even offered his assistance with changing my oil if I had questions! Very knowledgable and I'm very pleased with Amsoil! Looking at running it in my cages as well.

I,m Using Revtech Oil And Hd Everywhere Else. But It Looks Like I Will Be Goin To Amsoil Also. You Are All Good People And I Think I Can Trust You Guys And Gals. I Have Never Heard Much Of An Opinion On The Stuff Except What I Read. But You Always Read What They Want You To Read, So Until You Get Personal Opinions Black And White Is Not Always Proof That It Exists.

I would recommend Red Line MTL for your primary and Red Line Heavy Shockproof in your tranny.

I used Syn3 for 1 fluids cycle, the Red Line products made a noticeable difference, especially in the tranny. No more clunking, my RK shifts like she's filled with butter now.

Both Syn3 and red Line products will impact your wallet to the same extent.

Currently running dino, but switching to amsoil at the next oil change. Jury's still out on using it in the crank and tranny, though George said it works fine.

Thumbs up Syn Oils

Using Mobil Extended Life 15W-50 in motor, Redline MTL in primary and Redline Heavy Shockproof in tranny on my 03 RK. The tranny shifts like butter - it's magic!!
