Amsoil users ???

20w50 syn in all 3 holes or 20w50 syn in engine/pri and 75w90 Severe gear in xmsn for cold weather (Utah)? Is the 75w90 gear oil too thick for cold weather?

20/50 in all 3 holes, yes.
75/90 in the transmission, even in the winter, yes.

Proper engine warm up is more critical in cold weather, just don't hammer your bike until it's up to operating temperatures.

I like a basic dino single weight for the primary, 20-30 is fine. The additives in synthetic oil and the syn itself is not always good for the clutch plates.

I like to use the proper lubricant for it's intended use. 20w-50 for engine, 75w-140 tranny, and supershift ATF for primary.

"Outstanding performance in high-performance, high-horsepower vehicles. Formulated without friction modifiers and viscosity improvers for positive clutch pack engagement and stable viscosity. Prevents slippage and lowers heat. Recommended for racing and street performance automatic transmissions". Supershift AFT

I use AMSoil in all my vehicles. I can't say it's the best, but I can point 'n' click and have it delivered to my door in just a few days. What I pay in freight is about what I would pay in gas just cranking up my V8 4x4 in the driveway.

What he said. I ride until the snow falls or the ice forms on the road.
