Running wire

I have a 2011 FLSTC. I would like to install a power outlet on handlebars and run the wire under the tank. Have tried to fish thru the wire tunnel. Fish tape goes about 3/4 thru and stops. Any way to do this without removing or lifting the tank? Only other option i can think of would be to run the wire under the frame and up to and under the seat using zip ties.

Any advise would be appeciated.

I don't know of our frames are the same, but my frame has a square 'tube' under the tank that the harness goes thru. Trying to fish a single wire through that small hole without lifting the tank would be problematic. I've managed to use a long wire tire and fish it around the top frame rail to hold a couple of wires until I get around to actually pulling the tank to do it correctly.

I have also run a larger gauge wire along the lower frame rail to power a connection block that's mounted in the chin spoiler. That wire will be relocated along with the ones mentioned above.

You can just see the red wire between the two pipes in this picture.

I loosened the tank, and lifted it a little. Ran it along the frame. May need to stick something through that is stiffer. Tape the wire to the object sliding through, flat.

[/IMG]Guys thanks for the help. I also noticed under the left side of the tank, the fuel guage wires are held by a self adhesive clip. I was thinking of using 3-5 of these clips under the tank to route the sae cord thru and up under the seat. Does anyone know where to obtain this type of clip? i'm guessing the adhesive is ableto withstand high heat. Photo attached.
