I use the Silverstar Ultra's in my Chevy 2500HD (rough riding truck), used them on my 06 RK, 09 Ultra, and now on my 12 Ultra Limited. Can't praise them enough. The ones in my truck have been in there since 2008 and never replaced, the same said for all 3 bikes.
I use them in my passing lamps as well. Not sure about this article or the cars they used but I can see a tremendous difference in intensity and distance out front of this bike at night.
