Quick tail light wiring question

I bought a tail light off Ebay. The only "instructions" are here....

Linkie to picture

I have a PDF manual for the bike. Do is "assume", the blue goes to the blue, the red goes to red/yellow, black ground.?

I assume if I want to use the tag light....I wire the white w/ the blue & the black w/ the ground?

Just making sure before I put it on.
Thanks

(oh yeah) 01 FXDL.

Also. Can I find the wire-end plugs (that will plug into the existing wire harness @ any auto parts store? I figure this way would be the easiest instead of splicing wires)

Blue is the running light wire....meaning when the key is On all the running lights are illuminated. The 'tag' light should be the same. Black is always Ground. R/Y is Brake light
Those connectors can be found at the 'dealer' or maybe a electronics-parts store. If you decide to splice instead, make sure you solder and shrink-wrap connection. Lotsa vibration back there.

Thanks Dave.

I went to Autozone & they had nothing that size. I think I'll spend the few extra bucks & find the right ends so I can just plug it in. I guess finding a cheap light has it's disadvantages.

Just a heads up. I found the terminal connectors @ O'Reilly Auto Parts (I think they are nationwide?)

The part # was BWD CT719 .... $0.59

It's working. Thanks.
