Yellow engine and red battery lights on an 06'Road King

Hi Friends,

I write in behalf of my mate having problems with his fuel injected Road King 06'.
After starting the motor up yellow engine light appears on the speedo. Then after while red battery light shows up. After reving the engine up and short riding lamps are gone. After some more time of the ride the story is back: first yellow and then red light show up again. Very irregular. No patern. Sometimes more offen, sometimes less. Bike rides normally, no isues. The battery is charged efficiently. Anyone of you has idea what is going on? I can fight with the pistons, cranks and heads but I am scared of electricity
Thanks in advance for help

you can look at this thread http://www.v-twinforum.com/forums/tw...uble-code.html
pull the codes and see where that may lead you and perhaps someone else may have other ideas.
Check to be sure all batt connections are tight also .

bad VR

Checked codes. It says: low voltage. Battery is not charged. Measured voltage on the battery connections. Low. Alternator stator is ok (checked follow manual instr.) but found that vr is damaged. Swap with another one from electra and system is working properly...
