Speedometer fogging

Has anyone ever come up with a solution for a fogging speedometer? I read through several threads here recommending everything from drilling a drain hole in the back-side of the speedo, to putting a light bulb on it overnight to dry it out?

Any success with anything?

It sure pisses me off! Sometimes it is the end of the day before I can even see my trip meter. I have to damn near pull over just to check the mileage so I don't run out of gas! I wish there was a solution.

Is it possible to remove the lense on the speedometer to allow the moisture to evaporate, and then replace the lense without destroying anything?

Mine is not as bad as the stock fuel guage was, but is annoying. The best the dealership has told me is they told me not to powerwash the bike. I have never power washed anything other than the lower part of the motor to remove accumulated road grime.
