Touring tail light fitment question

Not so technical but....
Would someone know if a stock tail light lens from a newer touring model, with the license plate window on the bottom will fit on an older bike (05 Road King)? I have the laydown lens and lowered plate now but want the stock size lens so a custom trim part will fit.
Thanks - JH

I'm pretty sure it will, but like you said the license plate window may be on the wrong side. I don't think they've changed that size lense for 30 years.

No, it will not fit in upside down, if that is what you are writing about. the light changed to a 1 piece light about 200, before that, it was just a lens that came off.

Hi, No, I just want to know if it will fit. I want the tag window on the bottom as I've relocated my plate to under the light.
Thanks - JH
