05 RK: starter will not run.

Took RK for 100 mile trip yesterday and thinkgs were fine until I tried to start it after comming back frokm lunch. Seems ignition swith was having a problem as I was was getting intermittent singmals, displays,etc. Took off seat and jiggled wire harness and found connection to ingnition swith has come loose (I had just had tank painted and must not have connected them well). Any way re connected 3 wire connector to ingnition switch and panel lit up just fine, but still when pressing the start button, no activity.

I did some checking with a jumper wire and found that I could get starter to engage and engine to fire by shorting contacts on fuse block that goes to starter selenoid. Seems thats starter relay is not engaging thus not engine start. WHen I jiggled the harness I did imnpart a quickk on and off again scenario of the power, I am wondering if somehow I dissables something in the ECM, etc?
