Light problems

I was working on a side mount. Splicing the wires to get the lights to work somehow I messed something up. i took the splices off and now....

The head light and rear tail light both work.

3 of the 4 running lights do not work now. When I hit the turn signals all 4 will work??

The Turn signal is a separate wire that sends a separate signal. So the lights may not come on as running lamps, but will still work as turn signals. Sounds like your lights aren't getting the power from the ignition. How did you splice them?

it's hard to help you without an electrical diagram. It's usually something basic like a bad ground or u forgot to attach a couple wires.

the best thing for u is to get a test light if u dont have one already, and check each wire one by one as you SOLDER them together to be sure each wire is doing it's job... as they pointed out above, go to your local dealer and have them print you out a diagram - it's really easy, all the wires are color coded

on the rear unless they changed things there should only be your taillight, the rear turn are only turn signals unless you added a module to make them running lights. the front turns also are running lights start at the bulb and work back untill you find the power with a VOM
