I just changed the stator on my friends 01 Ultra. The new stator does not have the plug installed on the ends of the two wires. Does it matter which slot the wires go into? It can't use the old one as a sample because the original was destroyed when it failed.
It's AC, Alternating Current. It won't matter which wire goes where. I'm surprised that your stator didn't come with a plug on the end, though. Was it OEM or aftermarket?
