Passing Lights

I Just Installed A Set Of Passing/aux Lights On A Friends Yamaha V-star. I Attached The Ground Wire Inside The Housing, Ran The Two Power Wires Into The Headlight Housing And Used A Quick Splice Connector To Tap Into The Low Beam Wire. Turned They Key On And They Worked. Second Time No Lights. Headlight And Turn Signals Still Work. Cannot Figure Out Why It Doesnt Work. Connections Are Good. Did I Blow Out The Bulbs? Anyone Got The Answer? Added Passing Lights To My Sg No Problem.

Hard to say without looking at it.
just wanted to advise....you really should run the passing lamps on a switch and a relay. That way the load amperage is on a relay designed for the purpose of handling such a load and the switch dosent have a heavy load on it, all it does is supply voltage to the relay. Just trying to help ya keep from burning up a wiring harness. The wire ga these days is a lot smaller than they used to be. Especially on the *** bikes.
On your SG you can put the relay under the seat or in the faring then use the aux switch knock out on dash for the switch.
