They do a couple of things right. Can't beat the price either.

I tried to do an alternative to the HD batteries and found that in one year I had to replace the non-HD batteries twice. An expensive way to learn that Harleys require a battery that has allot of cold-cranking amps, more than what most non-HD batteries provide. Save yourself some trouble, go to your local stealer and stick with the HD batteries.

Yuasa YTX20HL Sealed Battery

Just ordered the new YTX20HL which I know for sure is a fit for the Softail, probably others also. It is for my 2002 Big Dog Pitbull. Has more crankng AMPS than the original spec battery (310 vs 270), caugh it on sale and free shipping. Not a bad deal. It is AGM.

I agree with rhinoevans, the Yuasa YTX20HL is one of the best batteries that you can buy for those of you are in the market for one. I too have one on my Softail. I also have had good service out of their charger/tender.

My 95 fatboy battery was 9 years old when I replaced it just because I was worried about when it was going to die. I replaced it with a Harley gel battery. Strokers I dont know about

will the odyssey battery accept a charge from the HD trickle charger (battery tender)? I see in your signature you have their battery and odyssey charger. just wondering. Thanks

The HD AGM is at $149 and the odyssey is at around $180. Anybody know what the CCA or other specs are on the HD AGM? If much lower than the ody's numbers, I'd have to assume the odyssey's a better buy...

Thanks
