I use interstate batteries in everything I own, including my generator. I'm not saying they're the best. I believe they are still made in the USA. I do need to find out though.

The H-D AGM batteries are hard to beat.

That's what I'd use. They have a great rep.

DEW2112 wants to know Dino or Syn?
I took delivery of my FLHT standard in September of 2001. Still using original battery. Im wondering if I should replace it this year. My buddy bought a 2007 FLHTCU in june of last year and his battery lasted 2 months. Im thinking of stretching it one more season.

Rocker wants to know Dino or Syn?
This question comes up ever so often. I don't know who makes the HD batteries but they sure seem to do a good job and most last for years. I am starting my 5th season on my original battery, 2004 Ultra. I think the "proof is in the pudding." I'm going to buy another HD when I feel it is time.

Only thing about going so long on the same battery, that I can think of, is it stresses the stator, and eventually you will have to replace that too.

I would buy the HD AGM, but Odyssey makes an excellent battery for the touring line for about double the cost of the HD. Can't speak for its bang-for-the-buck rating, but I have a very small Odessey that I have here that I removed from my old RK and it is still good four years later.

For my money I'll stick with the HD brand, as I've heard nothing but good feedback about it.

Teflon Tom wants to know Dino or Syn?
I have an Odyessy it is three years old now it turns over my 120 Merch cold, hot or abused, it rolls it over with ease al the time. Like with all batteries you'll get longer life with good maintence and a battery tender type charger.

Still have the original in my 2002 soft tail. That odyssey looks like a quality replacement, but I don't see a price on them. I think I will buy a new one this year, as I believe I am on "borrowed time."
