Modified SERT map will not load??
I am attempting to change some of the parameters on a SERT. I have made my changes, saved the file. When I bring my new file up everything appears to be normal. When I click to program the ECM, my new file will not appear in the program ECM window, I can only bring in the established Harley maps to the (Program ECM) window. My map will not migrate over to the (Program ECM) window for down loading.
Any idea what may be the problem here?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Two quick thoughts - had you ever used/loaded the starting map previously? and, if not, did you start with a map for your year bike/ECM part number?

Are you talking about the CAL ID name in the File Information window? I don't believe that the name will change. It will always just show the CAL ID of the base SERT map that's been used for your modifications. Whatever you rename the map to when you save it is just for your own informational purposes. The software will load whatever map is currently open to the ECM, though, complete with your changes, when you click the Program ECM Cal button.

Thanks
Ok, I am using a version compatible to the bike I am programing. I can click on any promrag illustrated in the harley program menu and the ECM download screen changes to that file name. But, when I click on my renamed file, the original file name appears to match the file I originally modified.
After reading the last thread, I think my new information may be camping on to the original file.

When the tuning software with a map is open, the box in the upper left corner below the usual "File", "Edit", "Setup", "Table Selection", etc. will give the name of the file currently open. But once you click on "Program ECM", the box will only list the original Cal ID under File Information, not whatever you've renamed the file to.
Hope that helps.

It would help to know what year bike and what version of SERT you are using, but like mentioned earlier, it doesn't matter what you name your file, the Cal ID of the original base file is going to show up in the File Information for the new file when you go to Program ECM. The only thing you can change for programming purposes is the Part Number (or last three digits of the Cal ID). Try editing your part number, saving the file, and then going to Program ECM. You can compare the last three digits of the Cal ID of the map in the ECM to the edited part number in your modified map, to see what the new file info really is.

Snaps Got it!
Thanks Snaps, you are correct, I played with the idle setting as a test, and it worked fine. I did not realize the newly named file would not appear in the ECM program box. Thank you for the help, it made my day
