Do I need to carry my SERT?
Sorry if this has been answered previously. Should I carry my SERT when on the road for long trips?
Thanks

It's so small why not, I once unexpectedly found a really good tuner at a dealer on a road trip, they were doing $25 for 3 dyno pulls to celebrate the new Dyno, wish I would have had mine. I doubt you will ever need it, but just carry the "key" in case you stumble on something.

I don't think I'm having anyone, who is celebrating receiving their new dyno, tune my bike..

NO can't imagine when that would be necessary.

What's most important to carry with you is a copy of the map currently loaded in your bike, since you can't retrieve it from the ECU. I carry a small USB drive with me with the map on it. A CD would work as well.

Oops. Sorry, didn't explain what i was thinking. Actually, after thinking about it, you will need your SERT cables too since one/both are married to the SERT. Then, if you have to have it re-tuned while on the road, the tuner can bring up the SERT tuner program on his computer, load your map and start tuning from there.

I have a USB Memory stick. On it I carry the whole CD Rom as well as my current tune MAP. I also carry the tuner interface thing,(Which is labled with my name and telephone number). That way if the ECM ever takes a dive on the road, (And they have been known to) I can go to a dealer, get a new ECM, have them flash my VIN into it, and download my MAP.
