8 to 25 dgree injectors...new Map???
Thouhgt that I would post this here. Any of you that has changed from the 8 degree to the 25 degree injectors, did you do another download? Would you have to if you make the change? It sounds like there is more gas flow with the 25's....?

Some one will correct me on this if I am wrong but I'm pretty sure it flows the same amount of fuel just in a wider pattern. That is just as long as the gm/sec are the same on the two injectors.

4. Update the ECM calibration. For those motorcycles
equipped with P&A Screamin’ Eagle 1450cc or 1550cc
Performance Kits, refer to h-dnet.com for the correct calibration
P/N.

The dealer did flash my ECM when they changed out the injectors but if you are referring to a PCIII map then you should be okay. My understanding is that the flash from the dealer for the new injectors basically makes then deliver the same amount of fuel as the replaced ones. I know I'm running a stock map from the PC site and it runs just fine. I'll still probably get a dyno tune fairly soon but until then the bikes running great.

Can you really tell a difference from the 8 degree ones??? My wife's Deluxe (with PC) seems to be running good as is...just not sure if there is something to gain by switching..

Update the map. The new injectors flow more fuel. HD's newest SERT CD contains maps specifically for the 25 degree injectors.

I had the change from 8 to 25, I called power commander and they said they did not have any maps for the 25's as of yet and it would make a difference. So I went with the Sert which did have them.

Probably does since the fuel delivered each pulse would be different. I'm still running a stock PC map and the bike runs fine and there's no indication (plugs, milage) that I'm too far off the mark. Probably the only way to be right on the mark is to get a dyno tune and that is in my future but just not right at the moment. Shoot, I figured just about anything was better than the stock HD ECM flash.

Jamie,
I was just about ready to buy a SERT when I read your post. I have a 2006 Ultra, 95" BB, 1550 flat top pistons, stock heads, 204 cams, SE A/C, V&H true duals, V&H oval slipons, stage II 1550 flash/map,& SE Race FUELER (a mistake, hopefully to be corrected with the SERT). The 8* injectors replaced with the 25*. The bike runs much better, smooth, good acceleration, etc. with the CVO injectors, but not sure if they reflashed or not. Terrible gas mileage, 25-28, plugs are black.
What is the newest SERT model & the newest SERT CD? The one I was going to buy is 32107-01D & the CD upgade is "G".
This forum has some excellent posts, great help for people like me(mechanically challenged)
I will be looking forward for help from you & the others here when I get the newest SERT.

Newest SERT is "E" and the I believe they are up to "G" on the included CD. Go ahead and buy the "D" model, if it has a CD that does not include the maps for 25* injectors, then PM me.

OK, thanks for the info. Do you know what the difference is between the "D" & "E" model? My daughter works for a H-D dealer & is gettng me the SERT for my birthday , but she said the only SERT they have in stock is the "D" & doesn't know what the difference is.
Thanks again.
Ken.

Only difference is the newer maps. You should be able to get an updated cd for about 20 bucks (or less).

Like Yankee Bob said, the only difference is the updated maps on the CD. All the hardware is the same. I bought a "D" model too, and then got the updated CD from the "E" model.
